ABOUT NEWTON

They said it was crazy to build a phone system.

Every workflow in a dental office starts with a phone call. We didn't add another tool on top of that — we built the foundation itself.

Every workflow in a dental office starts with a phone call. We didn’t add another tool on top of that — we built the foundation itself.

Newton started with a text message. Rohit got a reminder from his dentist about a cleaning, went in, and asked the front desk what software they ran. He called Sam from the parking lot: "I think it's dental. That's where we could solve a lot of problems."
Not the first time one of them had talked the other into something — they'd already spent close to a decade as friends and roommates, the kind of relationship where thinking out loud through a hard problem is just how they work. Newton, now a team of 12, still runs that way.
The obvious move was an AI receptionist, and everyone in dental AI was building some version of it. Rohit and Sam looked at what real front desks deal with — five or six disconnected tools, held together by people and a lot of sticky notes — and decided the sprawl itself was the problem.
So they did the harder thing. They replaced the phone system.
Most voice AI in dental bolts onto whatever setup a practice already has. Newton became the phone system — every call, AI or staff, running through one platform. Not the easier way in, but the only way to see what's actually happening across locations.
That's still the bet: not a clever feature, but a foundation wide enough that every part of the practice makes the others smarter.

Newton runs the front office — calls, scheduling, insurance, collections — and shows leadership what’s driving production at every location.
